European shares hits day's high; miners gain

LONDON (Reuters) - Europe's FTSEurofirst 300 <.FTEU3> hit a session's high on Wednesday, boosted by miners, while ARM Holdings <ARM.L> led technology stocks firmer on rehashed bid talk.By 3:49 p.m. BST, the pan-European FTSEurofirst 300 <.FTEU3> index of top shares was 0.9 percent higher at 1,071.77 points after hitting a day high of 1,073.39.

ARM climbed 5.1 percent, while the STOXX Europe 600 basic resources index <.SXPP> put on 2.3 percent.
